Besides offering a breath-taking view, the road between Cirò e Melissa is a real gem of farm landscape. The way the territory looks today is the result of a close bond between man and land that has shaped this region.

Cirò
It is situated between the Ionian coast of Crotone and the north-eastern spurs of the Sila. On the one side the hill cape of which Punta Alice is the extreme top, on the other the watershed of Malocutrazzo. In the middle, at a height of about 300 metres above the sea level, the village overlooks the plane coastal strip between the mouth of the Santa Venere and the basin of the Lipuda. The town territory stretches over an area of 70,10 square chilometres with 5 chilometres of beaches. It is about 40 chilometres away from the chief town Crotone.

Melissa
Municipality in the province of Crotone. It is situated at a height of 650 metres above the sea level, but the inhabited part is at around 200. It stretches over an area of 50,94 square chilometres with 6 chilometres of beach. It borders on the municipalities of Cirò Marina, Cirò, Casabona, Strongoli, San Nicola dell’Alto and Carfizzi. It is 46 chilometres away from Crotone.
